Our instant and condiment soup croutons are baked, dried, oiled and seasoned. They are made from bread which is twice as dense as a typical loaf. The result is that they retain their crunch for longer, in thin as well as thick soup, to add bulk, flavour and texture.
Our cut is more precise too, so if you like perfect cubes, we can deliver. If it’s a rustic, more random cut finish you’re looking for, we can do that too. So, just choose your bread, size, oil and flavour, and leave the rest to us.
Our bread is baked from the finest ingredients, in our own first-class bakery. Most choose our tried and tested white, wholegrain or rye recipes. However, we can vary the mix to deliver the exact texture you’re aiming for. We typically produce croutons which are 6mm3, 8mm3 or 10mm3, but if you need a different size, just let us know.
We recommend sustainably-sourced palm oil for soup croutons, where a long shelf life of up to 18 months may be required. If you prefer a palm-free option, we can use high oleic sunflower oil, which will deliver a shelf life of 12 months.
When it comes to flavour, the only limit is your imagination.
Whilst herb and garlic flavours can be baked in to the bread, most croutons benefit from flavours which are added later in the process.
Favourite flavours include: garlic and herb, black pepper, bacon, bacon and onion, Provençale, thyme and sage. Plain or natural croutons remain popular too.
