Description
Job Summary:
The primary role of the EHS and Training Specialist is to ensure all employees, contractors and vendors are working and behaving in the safest way possible. Additionally, the EHS and Training Specialist is responsible for conducting training classes for the employees as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work safely in every case and promote safety at every interaction with associates
- Create access badges for all employees and temporary employees
- Coordinate and presents Alchemy training classes for new hires and conduct monthly Alchemy training classes
- Manage radio and communication program
- Assist Human Resources team with branding, marketing, swag and employee wellness programs
- Manage Emergency Action Plan
- Daily and weekly KPI’s
- Manage Safety Interaction Program
- Report injury/ incident to leadership team within the 24-hour window
- Conduct Safety Meetings monthly
- Scan and upload safety minutes to the shared drive
- Coordinate weekly safety walks
- Stock first aid kits, check AEDS, fire extinguishers, fire exits, wash stations, eye wash stations and SDS/MSDS
- Manage shoe program
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover cause and help Human resources with worker’s compensation claims

Requirements:
- Experience with e-learning platforms
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Experience in occupational health and safety
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability

Environment:
- Periodic time spent on the Production Floor where the temperatures could vary
- May require bending, stooping, stretching and lifting upo to 25 pounds
- Must be able to go up and down stairs regularly and often carry items.
- Ability to work for long periods of time on a computer
- Noise level in the work environment can be loud
- Exposure to various food types including possible allergens
- Regular requirement to use hands, and reach with hands and arms and lift over head
- Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
