Description
Job Summary:
The objective of Production Operator III is to assist the Shift Manager and Lead with the production and manufacture of food products for sale.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work safely in every case and promote safety at every interaction with associates
- Operate as part of a team and perform assigned duties in Production
- Able to grasp and understand the processes of production
- Demonstrate strong communication with the Production Supervisor, Lead, and other team members
- Follow the company policies and procedures pertaining to the production team
- Follow all plant SOPs, SSOPs, in accordance with HACCP and food safety
- Follow all plant GMPs
- Follow all plant safety procedures
- Work on the production line at startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and changeover/cleaning
- Lead by setting a good example (role model)
- Assist with problem solving and fostering teamwork
- Work on developing better procedures and methods to improve safety, quality, and costs
- Report for work on all assigned workdays and report on time with a 98% positive attendance record
- Understanding of lot numbers and expiration dates on product
- Complete all SOP training for multiple different packaging lines
- Fit tested for dust mask
- Proficient in filling out paperwork in the areas you work
- All Alchemy testing up to date and courses passed
- Complete all relevant CCP trainings
- Trained on all Chemicals/Handling
- Demonstrated proficiency in setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and cleaning packaging machinery and scales in different packing lines such as Bulk Retail, Prep, Doypack, Load/Unload
- Ability to accurately complete all paperwork in Bulk, Retail, Prep, Doypack, Load/Unload
- Ability to accurately fill out inventory and production paperwork
- Good knowledge on how to read the schedule and run lines to that schedule

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience working in a production environment
- Knowledge of the Packaging Equipment and know how to troubleshoot common problems
- Good mathematical ability
- Solid communication skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
- Flexible to work in other areas as assigned
- Observe all company policies
- Complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
Environment:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in extreme cold temperatures
- Able to bend, twist, push and pull
- Stand on concrete floors for long hours
