Red Bean
It has a mild flavour, and is a great companion for onion, tomato and a range of spices. Red bean goes particularly well with rice – and can be used in a wide range of North American and South American dishes. In China, red beans are used in porridge, cakes and pastries, and nutritional food.
Freeze-dried red bean can also be used to create red bean paste – an essential East Asian ingredient used in a wide range of savoury and sweet Japanese, Chinese and Korean dishes, pastries and desserts.
