Hummus with Dinky Dippers

Ingredients

  • 400g (14oz) Chickpeas (canned or cooked), drained
  • 60g (2oz) Tahini
  • 30g (1oz) Olive oil
  • 30g (1oz) Lemon juice
  • 5g (0.2oz) Garlic: 1-2 cloves, minced
  • 1g (0.03oz) Ground cumin
  • 3g (0.1oz) Salt
  • 60-120g (2-4oz) Water (adjust for desired consistency)
  • Paprika or additional olive oil (optional, for garnish)
  • 50g (1.7oz) Chaucer Lightly Salted Dinky Dippers (or other Chaucer Baked Platter Partners)

Method

  • Step 1
    If using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them under cold water. If using cooked chickpeas, ensure they are well-drained.
  • Step 2
    In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Step 3
    With the processor running, slowly add water a little at a time until the hummus reaches your desired consistency. You might need water depending on how thick you like your hummus.
  • Step 4
    Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with additional olive oil, chickpeas and garnish.
  • Step 5
