POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Specialist will work closely with, and report to, the Senior Commercialization Manager- Americas to conduct tasks as needed to help with Quality tasks/Projects, as well as perform functional tasks to support Sales, Operations and Finance as needed.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist in keeping various portals up to date, such as but not limited to:

· Uploading compliance documents

· Enter and update new projects

· Request updated documentation from suppliers

· Ensure Co-packers/suppliers upload documents and complete forms as applicable

· Ensure follow through for COA’s from suppliers all the way to Copackers as required

· Ensure all supplier documentation is kept up to date

· Review, verify for accuracy, and file shipping documentation from our internal suppliers

· Conduct Product Evaluations on all products as required by our procedures

· Ensure raw material evaluations are conducted as needed by Copackers

· Update and maintain customer and internal forms on product information, price lists, specs, and asset sharing

· Interface with other departments as part of a team to accomplish projects

· Record and publish notes to the internal team from weekly team meetings as well as monthly NPD meetings

· Work closely with the Senior Commercialization Manager and Sales to provide both administrative and special project support as needed

· Record, track and follow up on customer complaints as well as internal complaints

o Publish monthly updated complaint charts

· Collect, update, and publish monthly and quarterly scorecards related to:

· Warehouses

· Logistics

· Raw Material Suppliers

· 3rd Party Copackers

· Internal Copackers

· Conduct Mock Recalls once annually

· Search for and vet new suppliers as needed for packaging, raw materials, Copackers, and warehouses

· Coordinate calls

· Request quotes

· Provide volumes as needed

· Be the primary interface between potential supplier and internal team

· Travel to sites as needed

· Work on cost savings/continuous improvement projects as requested by the Operations Director

· Ensure FSVP documentation is maintained

· Enter Regulatory requests in Salesforce as needed

· Participate in monthly Global Quality meetings

· Update and maintain internal procedures

· Prepare additional reports as needed

· Perform other duties as required

 

Technical Skills Required:

· Highly organized with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Attention to detail is critical in this role

· Strong multi-tasking qualities and the ability to prioritize and work independently in a virtual and fast-paced environment

· Ability to create smooth interpersonal relationships

· Ability to work cross functionally across various departments within the organization

 

Experience:

· Preferably 1–3 years of working experience in a related field

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and other technical platforms/tools

· Experience with customer specific portals and sales management tools/reports

Education:

· College degree preferred
