We love clementines for their pleasant, sweet, zesty flavour, which is slightly less acidic than an orange. This tangy taste is captured perfectly in the freeze-drying process, along with the clementine’s texture, shape and bright orange colour.
Freeze-dried clementine can be paired with a variety of fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood, working particularly well with lemon, mint and onions. It is available with or without the skin – the skin bringing a bitter and stronger taste.
Use freeze-dried clementine pieces in chocolate, mixed with baked gingerbread crumb for example, or in powdered form to create refreshing soft beverages and cocktails, or in buttercream for baked applications. Larger pieces provide a fruit explosion in ice cream.
